The 2026 Piedmont Regional Championship has found one of its most authoritative interpreters in Marco Occhial. The rider from the Moto Club Castellazzo Bormida put together a series of excellent performances, confirming himself as the absolute protagonist in both the national and regional stages.
The success of Bosisio Parini (6 April)
Occhial's clear path experienced an exhilarating moment last April 6th at the circuit Bosisio Parini (LC). On that occasion, Marco dominated the scene and ranked 1st in Group B Over 50 (Category 5). Riding his Maico, he was able to masterfully interpret the Lombard route, imposing an unsustainable pace for his opponents and securing the top step of the podium in one of the most fierce categories on the vintage scene.
The feat at Ciglione Malpensa (3 May)
The confirmation of the state of grace arrived yesterday, Sunday 3 May, on the legendary ground of Ciglione Malpensa. On a fast and technical track, which has hosted 13 editions of the World Championship, Occhial achieved the second place in Category B. Despite the hardness of the clay surface, the driver managed the two heats of the race with extreme precision, setting a best time of 2:12.741 and maintaining a chronometric consistency that allowed him to repel the attacks of the competition.
With a victory and a podium in the last two outings, Occhial is ready for the next events — including the race Casale Monferrato on May 24th — as one of the serious contenders for the regional title. The mechanical solidity of his Maico and the athletic condition shown on world-class tracks such as Cardano al Campo are the pillars of an exciting 2026 season.
